Lockers are like vertical chests that have doors at the front. You can stack them next to each other, unlike regular chests. Lockable lockers and reinforced chests can be locked with a lock or key. After the lock is made, the key is removed from the crafting process. This key is the only one capable of unlocking that lock. Simply shift+click on the chest/locker, then shift+click to open the lock using the key. They can take on different colors depending upon the ore used to make them, and have more storage space than traditional chests and lockers. Crates are an expandable storage system, which can be stacked into cubic piles of 5x5x5x5. Although they have a greater capacity, only a random number of them can be accessed every time you open them.
Another option is a cardboard box that can be used for transporting items from one place to another. It has fewer uses, but it can still be useful. Simply load the items in the box, then break it. While carrying the item, you’ll be able to see its inventory. You can then place it anywhere you like and you are good to go.
