Fakename Mod 1.16.2/1.15.2 helps you change your in-game name for something different. So if you would like to scam your friends that renowned youtuber has connected the machine and begins talking to them, you can do with this mod. This mod also affects your in-game chat name, your death messages in the name over head but it does not alter your skin. So in the event that you would like to pretend that you are a youtuber then you have to change your own skin.

How to install:

  1. Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
  2. Locate the minecraft application folder.
    • On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
    • On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
  3. Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
  4. When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
