You can smelt Rotten Flesh in leather with Just Another Rotten Flesh Mod (1.19.2, 1.18.12). Leather is made by melting rotten flesh. When the HardMode option is enabled in the configuration file, a prepared flesh must first be made from four rotten flesh, and then melted in a furnace.
