Project Red Mod 1.16.5 and 1.12.2 are open-source rewrites of RedPower 2 by Eloraam. This mod was removed after Minecraft version 1.1.4. This mod replicates many of the functionality in RedPower 2’s original mod but adds some new features and refinements. This mod doesn’t use any code from RedPower 2 and was built from scratch.
This mod adds many improvements to vanilla Redstone control. It has all kinds of wires cables that can run up any block as well as stand-alone. You can also use it to perform complex logic operations that are based on Redstone signals. The mod also has many world generation and machines features.
RedPower 2 was the first mod to use Microblocks. They were later revived in Forge Microblocks. The Project Red mod does not create a new Microblocks implementation. It is fully compatible with the Forge Microblocks API. This allows players hide wires and other items within their buildings.
Forge Relocation is another mod, which was created to be used with ProjectRed. However, it can also be used separately. It allows you to move blocks around from one location to the next. Any modder can easily add support to their blocks using its universal API. As an example, a plugin for FMP has been provided for modders to use in their own plugins.
Project Red, in conjunction with the Forge Relocation Mod, has also re-implemented frames, which was one the most popular additions to the RedPower 2 mod. This allows players to create large structures that can be moved automatically. Frames were used to build large quarrying platforms with the IndustrialCraft2 Mining Well. This would travel across the map and create large potions, down to Bedrock.
