TimeOutOut Mod (1.19.2, 1.18.2) is a server mod which allows for configurable timeouts. Vanilla Minecraft’s connection timeouts are set to hardcoded. They may not be long enough for slower machines or modded instances. Fixed values can cause lag spikes when players leave the game. It may also limit your performance by prioritizing long distance connections over those closer to you, especially in urban environments. You can set configurable timeouts that are based on the latency of the connected player or entity. Clients can be set a time at which they must reconnect before being disconnected. Server-side features are not possible. This allows you to define custom connection times, and what activities should reset concurrent connections. Other features like pipelining or chunk cached packets are unaffected.

Features:

  • Allows several connection timeouts.

The connection read timeout

  • Both client and server-sided.
  • Raised to 120 seconds from the vanilla value of 30 seconds by default.

The login timeout

  • How long the server waits for a player to log in.
  • Raised to 2400 ticks (120 seconds) from the vanilla value of 600 ticks (30 seconds) by default.

The KeepAlive timeout

  • How long the server waits for a player to return a KeepAlive packet before disconnecting them.
  • Raised to 120 seconds from the vanilla value of 30 seconds by default.
